Corporate Background
New World First Ferry Services Limited (“First Ferry”) operates five inner harbour and outlying island ferry routes in Hong Kong, including North Point-Hung Hom and North Point-Kowloon City, as well as Central-Cheung Chau, Central-Mui Wo and Inter Islands (between Peng Chau, Mui Wo, Chi Ma Wan and Cheung Chau). First Ferry has a daily traffic footfall up to 35,000 passengers (as of 30 June, 2011).
First Ferry is jointly owned by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited and NWS Holdings Limited. NWS Holdings Limited (“NWS Holdings”, Hong Kong stock code: 659), the infrastructure and service flagship of New World Development Company Limited (Hong Kong stock code: 17), embraces businesses in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Macau. Its Infrastructure portfolio includes Roads, Energy, Water and Ports & Logistics projects. Its Services division comprises Facilities Management (the management of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and Free Duty), Construction & Transport (Hip Hing Construction and bus and ferry services) and Strategic Investments (Newton Resources, Tricor, Haitong and securities investments).

Logo Explanation
The corporate identity represents the corporate mission "Customer First and Foremost". The use of italic fonts and eye-catching colours such as orange, purple and green represent the dynamic and modern images of the corporation. The icon "1" not only implies the full name of New World First Ferry Services Limited, but also emphasizes our commitment to employ our utmost effort in providing top-notch services for passengers.
Fleet Investment
First Ferry believes in perpetual improvement. Upon service commencement in 2000, First Ferry invested HK$150 million to acquire 15 vessels and auxiliary assets. Between 2001 and 2003, First Ferry further invested over HK$130 million to acquire a new fleet of eight high-speed catamarans. With the capacity to comfortably accommodate 200 to 400 passengers, each of the new double-deck catamarans is capable of reaching maximum speed of 26 knots. The new high-speed catamarans are earmarked to provide luxurious and comfortable sea voyage for passengers with the latest navigational aids and vessel facilities.
Ferry Services
First Ferry is committed to providing safe, fast and comfortable local ferry rides to the passengers daily. It operates three outlying island ferry routes in Hong Kong: Central Pier 5-Cheung Chau, Central Pier 6-Mui Wo and Inter Islands (between Peng Chau, Mui Wo, Chi Ma Wan and Cheung Chau), and two inner harbour ferry routes: North Point-Hung Hom and North Point-Kowloon City. Among them, the routes plying between Central and Cheung Chau and Central and Mui Wo, provide ordinary ferry services, fast ferry services as well as overnight ferry services to cater to the different needs of passengers.
Customer Services
First Ferry understands that quality ferry services not only include timely ferry deployment but also ferry safety and onboard comfort; at the same time delivering excellent customer service. First Ferry strives to provide professional services with a team of experienced crew and well-trained engineering staff whom ensures that the vessels and pier facilities are safe and secure at all times, and the attentive customer service delivered by the front and back office staff.
First Ferry Customer Service Division provides a 24-hour Customer Service Hotline for passengers to make enquiries on its ferry services through the automated voice system. During office hours, the Customer Service Officers are there to provide assistance with passengers’ queries or suggestions, and are glad to help make arrangements with search of lost property. First Ferry Service Suggestions Email and Customer Service Hotfax are the alternative feedback channels set-up to achieve a barrier-free communication.
Staff
A team of quality staff is the key to quality service and customers' satisfaction. First Ferry values our staff who are ambassadors to serve the commuting public to their best. In addition to their expertise in the nautical field, frontline staff are all equipped with professional customer service skills while our engineering professionals are dedicated to maintain the fleet round-the-clock to ensure it is in optimal performance.
