First Ferry joins in the Cheung Chau Bun Festival

Hong Kong - "Cheung Chau Bun Festival" is around the corner and the compellent festival climaxes, "Grand Parade" & "Bun Scrambling Competition", will be held in the afternoon of 21 May 2010 and at midnight of 22 May 2010 respectively. New World First Ferry Services Limited ("First Ferry") will enhance ferry services by arranging supplementary sailings in these two days to meet the upsurge in demand of ferry services plying between Central and Cheung Chau.
The Cheung Chau Bun Festival Grand Parade will take place at around 2:00pm on 21 May 2010 (Friday) and the expected peak period of passenger flow from Central to Cheung Chau will be from 9:00am to 1:00pm. During the peak period, First Ferry will arrange extra vessels to channelize the passenger flow and maximum hourly carrying capacity is expected to increase by 150%. In connection with the Bun Scrambling Competition that will be held at midnight of 22 May 2010 (Saturday), First Ferry will arrange an supplementary ordinary ferry sailing at 1:15am for passengers to return to Central after the competition.
Passengers going to Cheung Chau on the event day are encouraged to arrive at Central Pier 5 earlier for embarkation patiently and follow the instructions of the Hong Kong Police.
