During the Festival, passengers traveling between Central and Cheung Chau may need to wait longer for embarkation. Sailing schedules and departure time of sailings shall be adjusted according to the actual situation or subject to the instructions of the Hong Kong Police or related government departments. To meet the upsurge in demand, First Ferry has deployed all available stand-by vessels to provide supplementary sailings and the maximum hourly carrying capacity is twice of the normal capacity. Passengers are requested to follow the instructions of the Hong Kong Police and be patient while waiting for embarkation.
In connection with the Bun Scrambling Competition that will be held at midnight, First Ferry will arrange a supplementary ordinary ferry sailing at 1:15am on 22 May (Saturday) departing from Cheung Chau for passengers to boarding to Central after the competition. As only limited quota is available for the public to watch the competition at the venue, please pay attention to the announcement of the organizer and the media reports before departure.
