First Ferry Announces New Arrangements of the Ferry Services between Central and Mui Wo and Inter Islands

Hong Kong - New World First Ferry Services Limited ("First Ferry") announces that new timetable and new fare table for services between Central and Mui Wo and Inter Islands will take effect from 1 July 2008 (Tuesday).

To facilitate passengers flow in the morning peak hours, service frequency between Central and Mui Wo from 7:00 am to 9:00 am remains unchanged and service after 8:00 pm on weekdays will be adjusted slightly. After the adjustment, First Ferry continues to provide over 60 sailings a day on weekdays. Concerning the Inter Islands ferry service plying between Cheung Chau, Mui Wo and Peng Chau, First Ferry maintains the current service level and only slight adjustments are made to the departure time.

There are also adjustments in the fare. From Mondays to Saturdays except Public Holidays, the new adult single-trip fare plying between Central and Mui Wo of ordinary class of ordinary ferry is HK$13 and HK$25.5 for fast ferry. For Sundays and Public Holidays, the new adult single-trip fare of ordinary class of ordinary ferry is HK$19.2 and HK$36.7 for fast ferry; and the new fare of monthly ticket is HK$474.6. The new adult single-trip fare of Inter Islands ferry service is HK$11.1.
