Who can resist the aroma of freshly baked Portuguese style egg tarts? Nobody does it better than Choi Heong Yuen Bakery. Their secret? Fold and roll, fold and roll and continue to fold and roll over and over again to give the pastry a light, flaky texture. The pastry is then refrigerated and filled with rich, creamy egg yolk batter. Finally, the egg tarts are baked for exactly 15 minutes. Only a number of tarts are made each day, so first come first serve. Also, a must try are their delicious almond cookies.
