With the mission of contributing to the society in mind, First Ferry actively participates in various charity and community activities as well as renders unfailing support to deprived communities.

“Fairy” Creative Space

First Ferry inaugurated the “First Ferry Community Art Revamp Project” in December 2012, following the launch of first local gallery pier project - the “Community Art Programme” in 2007, to provide an art exchange platform with refurnished exhibition boards of “Community Art Programme” for students to develop their artistic creation. In 2015, the “First Ferry Community Art Revamp Project” has been renamed as “Fairy” Creative Space, and the exhibition panels at Central Pier No. 5, Cheung Chau Pier and Mui Wo Pier will be upgraded to have a core tone of purple and be lit by soft and environmental LED lights, suitable for displaying both graphic and 3D works.

First-ever Onboard Breastfeeding Room

In 2016, First Ferry launched its first-ever onboard breastfeeding room amidst Hong Kong at First Ferry triple-deck vessel, Xin Guang. The breastfeeding room equips with bespoke facilities such as air-conditioning, sofa, diaper pad, washing basin, hand dryer and emergency bell, etc., that pampers the breastfeeding mothers with safety and relaxing touch. In early 2017, the breastfeeding room has been successfully installed on three more triple-deck vessels, namely, Xin Chao, Xin Fei and Xin Guo that completed the project. Took part in “NWS Caring Day 2017” cum the launch ceremony of the “NWS Career Navigator For Youth” and received teenagers to visit the First Ferry’s dockyard, where they were assigned to film a short educational video aboard a ferry about escape routes and its facilities, to let them get a feel of working in the communications field
