“First Ferry’s “BYOC+” Campaign” Make Purchase at Shops of Pier by Bringing Your Own Containers to Enjoy 10% Refund

To encourage the reduction of use of disposable plastic tableware, the “First Ferry “BYOC+” Campaign” will be introduced on 28 June for four consecutive Fridays. Passengers who bring their own reusable food/beverage containers when purchasing food or beverages from the shops at Central Pier 5, Central Pier 6, Cheung Chau Pier and Mui Wo Pier during designated periods are eligible to enjoy 10% refund of the fare of the following ferry trip via making a simple registration with the assistance of the First Ferry Green Ambassadors. (Each passenger with the same Octopus is limited to register twice per day)

Procedure to Get the 10% Fare Refund

1. Passengers bring their own reusable food/beverage containers and purchase food or beverages from the shops at the piers at the designated period

2. First Ferry Green Ambassadors will guide you to the registration point to make a simple registration

3. Present your Octopus at the designated registration machine

4. Follow the instructions of First Ferry Green Ambassadors to tap your Octopus for registration and passengers can enjoy 10% refund of the ferry fare of the following ferry trip after 7 working days

5. After 7 working days, passengers present the same Octopus at any Octopus Service Points (there is one located at Central Pier 6) and select "Refund/Reward", and the respective refund will be transferred to Octopus automatically; or passengers can use the mobile device (with NFC function) installed with the "Octopus" App by selecting the retrieval of refund, and the respective refund will be transferred to Octopus automatically

Terms & Conditions

* Passengers are required to follow the abovementioned procedure and pay the ferry fare by Octopus in order to enjoy the refund.


* Each passenger with the same Octopus is limited to register twice per day. Each passenger can only receive 10% refund of each ferry trip.


* The refund is valid for collection within three months.


* If there is any dispute in relation to the Campaign, the decision of First Ferry shall be final and binding.
